Privacy Policy

The Wellness Buzz (“the app”, available at thewellnessbuzz.com) is a private, personal health tracker. This policy explains what data the app stores, why, and the choices you have.

Data we collect

  • Account data — your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture as provided by Google.
  • Health data you enter — cycle and period logs, symptoms, notes, medications and dose records, lab results and the lab report files you upload, and anything you import from other apps.
  • Technical data — authentication cookies needed to keep you signed in. The app does not use advertising or third-party analytics trackers.

How we use it

  • To show you your own records, calendars, charts and predictions.
  • To create medication reminder events in your Google Calendar, only if you connect it.
  • To read values from lab reports you upload and to generate descriptive summaries of your data, only when you use those features.

Your data is never sold, never used for advertising and never shared with other users of the app. Summaries are descriptive and are not medical advice.

Google user data

If you sign in with Google, the app receives your name, email address and profile picture to create and identify your account. If you choose to connect Google Calendar, the app requests access only to create and manage the medication reminder events and calendar it creates; it does not read your other calendar events. The app’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not used to train AI models.

Service providers

The app relies on these providers to run, each processing data only on the app’s behalf:

  • Supabase — database, authentication and file storage (hosted in the EU, Frankfurt).
  • Vercel — web hosting.
  • Anthropic — the Claude API, used to extract values from lab reports you upload and to write summaries you request. Data sent through the API is not used to train models.
  • Google — sign-in and, if you connect it, Calendar reminders.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and access is restricted so that each account can only read its own records. Uploaded lab report files are additionally encrypted before they are stored.

Your choices

  • You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time, in the app or from your Google Account settings.
  • You can ask for a copy of your data or for your account and all its data to be deleted.
